ThedaCare is committed to providing community-based access to "world class" healthcare, either through our physicians and facilities or those of our strategic partners such as Froedtert Hospital, the Medical College of Wisconsin and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
ThedaCare is recognized locally and around the world for quality health care:
- Appleton Medical Center and Theda Clark Medical Center have been named multiple times as "Consumer Choice Hospitals," for the Appleton/Oshkosh area by the National Research Corporation.
- ThedaCare has also made the American Hospital Association's "100 Most Wired" health system list several times for its use of information technology.
We have achieved these accomplishments by having the best people focused on the best way to provide the best care. Our focus on quality allows us to provide the highest quality health care at a rational cost.
In fact, for many years, Appleton Medical Center and Theda Clark Medical Center have been the overall lowest cost hospitals in state for both inpatient and outpatient care, as reported by the State of Wisconsin’s Bureau of Health Information. You may review these costs for yourself by visiting the Bureau of Health Information database.
ThedaCare is also a founding member of the Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality (WCHQ), a voluntary consortium of nine quality-improvement driven healthcare organizations and ten representatives of major employers, consumers and business groups from around the state.
The Collaborative has developed a common set of healthcare quality outcomes measures to help healthcare organizations, employers and consumers examine the performance of healthcare providers.
