CNA at Peabody Manor

“I love putting smiles on peoples’ faces,” said Reed Boettcher, CNA at ThedaCare Peabody Manor. “My wish is to help them have the best experience possible at a difficult time in their lives.”

Reed, CNA: “Every day I have a chance to put a smile on someone’s face.”

“I love putting smiles on peoples’ faces,” said Reed Boettcher, CNA at ThedaCare Peabody Manor. “My wish is to help them have the best experience possible at a difficult time in their lives.”

Boettcher says helping people is in his blood. “Many members of my family are in healthcare, so I’ve been around it most of my life,” he recalls. “I knew early on that my career path would be in rehabilitation and long-term care. I received my Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate five years ago (he was 16). I’ve been with ThedaCare at Peabody Manor for around two years – and I love it. I enjoy talking to people and hearing their stories. I especially love it when patients ask for me when scheduling their appointments. It warms my heart.”

When he started at Peabody Manor in 2015, he was impressed with how welcoming the ThedaCare staff was and how he was treated as a valued member of the team. “ThedaCare is committed to putting patient care at the center of everything they do, and that includes making sure that employees have a great work environment and the best training. I’m currently in a nursing program at UW-Oshkosh and one day I hope to become a nurse practitioner. The company has been very supportive and I look forward to continuing to work for them for many years.”

And for others considering a CNA position at ThedaCare? “Do it,” said Boettcher. “ThedaCare not only cares deeply for patients, but the company advocates for employees, helping them be their very best. I’m proud to work with such a friendly, outgoing group of people.”
