As a father of five and the husband of a pediatrician, I know that the perspective of my patients’ families matters. That’s why I collaborate with parents to make decisions that make sense for their children. My priority is keeping kids healthy rather than fixing problems that might have been avoided. I work hard to encourage healthy eating, physical activity, healthy relationships, limited screen time, breastfeeding, bike helmets, seatbelts, smoking cessation and sexual abstinence. When I’m not at work, I like to spend time with my kids. I also enjoy gardening, sailing and bicycling.
