Our History
Established in 1985, the Shawano Medical Center Foundation and Legacy Club is a non-profit organization that supports the Shawano Medical Center. We raise funds for a variety of projects and improvements, to ensure patients continue to receive the high level of care they’ve come to expect from their community hospital.

Our Community
Located in Shawano, Wisconsin, Shawano Medical Center opened as Shawano Municipal Hospital in 1931, in the midst of the Great Depression. Its success is largely due to the community it serves, who donated building materials, money, and their own labor to help make the hospital a reality.

Shawano Medical Center is also home to the Riverside Clinic, which provides care in a range of medical specialties including gynecology, orthopedic surgery, and general surgery, in addition to the Medical Center offerings.
