Our History
The Peabody Foundation is a result of the work of George F. Peabody, a prominent businessman in the Fox Valley community. He owned and operated the Pettibone-Peabody department store, which later became the H.C. Prange Company.

A passionate philanthropist, Mr. Peabody made sure that his last will and testament provided for the future citizens of his community. Through his generosity, the Peabody Manor retirement facility was built, and an endowment fund was established to assist seniors with limited financial resources.

Our Community
Today, the Peabody Foundation has expanded Peabody Manor into The Heritage and Peabody Manor Community, a non-profit living residence operated by ThedaCare. This facility offers residents all the comforts of home while providing access to a full continuum of care during any stage of health.
