When you walk into Shawano Medical Center, you feel right away that you’re in an environment designed around you and your care needs. Soft colors, a garden, and views of the beautiful Wolf River create a warm, personal space that welcomes you and your visitors.
Every patient has a private room with plenty of space for their loved ones to spend time with them. There are also family areas where visitors can relax, watch television or access the internet.
Visiting hours and policies
Your visitors play a big part in your recovery, and they are welcome at Shawano Medical Center. After 8 p.m., visitors should use the emergency room entrance. For the health and safety of all our patients, please consider visiting another time if you have a cold, flu or sore throat. If you must visit, ask for a mask to wear while you’re in the hospital. Some other things to keep in mind:
- Shawano Medical Center is smoke-free.
- Due to latex allergies, only Mylar balloons are permitted in patient areas.
- Cell phones may interfere with patient equipment and rest. Please check with a nurse to make sure it’s okay to use a cell phone in a patient’s room.
The Riverside Café offers a variety of foods throughout the day. Enjoy the spacious indoor seating area or views of the Wolf River from the patio. Open weekdays 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and weekends 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
From flowers to baby items to home décor, the Wolf River Boutique has just the thing to brighten someone’s day. Open weekdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and
Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cash and checks only, please.
Wireless Internet Service
Shawano Medical Center provides free wireless internet service. There are computer terminals available in the surgery, and Birth Center family areas.
