Steady progress continues to be made on the new ThedaCare Medical Center- Shawano. While masonry work continues on the exterior of the building, the majority of the workforce is now on the inside of the building putting their efforts towards the interior build outs.
With work now ongoing in multiple areas of the building, all contractors on site have had to increase the size of their crews. At this point in the project the average daily total for workers on site is 85. This number will continue to grow in the coming months.
Second floor is where most of the activity has been taking place. Carpentry crews have been focused on the interior wall framing. The framing on second floor is now about half-way complete.
As walls are erected the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractors are following behind and roughing-in their ductwork and piping. Once the rough-ins are complete, drywall can be hung and the interior finishes can begin. When the interior wall framing on second floor is finished, crews will drop down to first floor where all of the concrete floor slabs are now complete.
