Building enclosure continues to be the main work focus for the new ThedaCare Medical Center-Shawano. With the exterior wall framing nearing completion, installation of the roofing system can begin. The roofing crew will begin work onsite after Memorial Day.
The concrete floor pours are also scheduled to start after Memorial Day, and will continue through the summer. Masonry work has started on the new central utility plant, and will continue around the building as areas become available.
Remodeling on first floor of the existing clinic has begun. Temporary walls dividing the construction area from the operational portion of the clinic were erected, and demolition activities will begin soon. Before the remodel work was able to start, new work areas had to be constructed for employees displaced by the construction. This was accomplished through a number of smaller projects that took place within the existing clinic. The Phase One remodel will be complete the same time as the new addition.
