Community Benefit Event Planning Help Offered

Having a family member or friend struggling with a medical crisis often sparks the idea to have an event to raise money to help them with expenses. Organizing an individual benefit can be a daunting task, but a new class provides essential information to help make your event a success.

Having a family member or friend struggling with a medical crisis often sparks the idea to have an event to raise money to help them with expenses. Organizing an individual benefit can be a daunting task, but a new class provides essential information to help make your event a success.

Community Benefit Tree will present “How to Organize an Individual Benefit” from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thurs., Aug. 22, at Appleton Medical Center’s Ironwood Room. This class is designed for people who are thinking about organizing a benefit to raise funds for a family member or friend dealing with a medical crisis.

The class will discuss agenda and timelines, raffles, event supplies, promotions, bookkeeping, who to invite and more. Seating is limited for this class. Community Benefit Tree is a non-profit organization that helps families and friends plan events to help raise funds for people facing medical problems. The group also provides education, support, resources and financial assistance for families struggling with a medical crisis.
