Tickets on Sale Now for Friday, March 9 Community Performance
ThedaCare employees are rehearsing and putting the final touches on the performances they have planned for the organization’s annual ThedaCare Follies community benefit event, which will be staged at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 9, in the West Theatre at Appleton West High School.
The evening of non-stop entertainment will include hilarious skits, music and dancing by participating ThedaCare employees and their friends and family members, with all proceeds from ticket sales benefiting the United Way Fox Cities.
Tickets for the evening extravaganza are $15 per person and may be purchased at Community First locations in the Fox Cities and at Festival Foods in Appleton and Darboy.
According to Rose Crow, senior vice president for ThedaCare and the organizer for this year’s event, ThedaCare employees invite the community to get lost in the magical decade of the 1950s and watch as a modern day teenager finds out what it was like to live back then from somebody who was there. Elvis and Marilyn even make appearances in this story, which begins with rollerskating carhops at the Dairy Cheer and ends with a big dance in the high school gym.
Throughout the fun-filled evening, participating ThedaCare employees will take the audience on a memorable trip through the decade with song, dance and music. Don’t miss this opportunity to travel back to a time of mom-and-pop-owned stores, spectacular harmony, poodle skirts, hula-hoops, rock ‘n roll and other music of the 1950s.
