ThedaCare Physicians-Menasha Rolls Out New Program
Scheduling an appointment with your primary doctor just got easier. Patients can now schedule appointments online directly with their providers at ThedaCare Physicians-Menasha through the MyThedaCare patient web portal. The Menasha clinic is the first to trial this pilot program.
With MyThedaCare, patients can already access their electronic medical records, ask questions, request prescription renewals and view lab results. Now, ThedaCare Physicians-Menasha patients can also use MyThedaCare to see open appointment times and claim one for themselves if they need to see their provider for an acute illness or to set up their annual physical.
“Being able to schedule an appointment online is very convenient for our patients. They can now go online and schedule something and not wait to call during office hours,” said Nate Grunwald, MD, a family practitioner at ThedaCare Physicians-Menasha, who tried out the program with his patients before it was launched clinic-wide. “It’s a very user-friendly system. You select what type of appointment you need, such as a physical vs. a medication check, and it shows all of the available times. You then pick the one that works for you.”
In addition to Dr. Grunwald, other ThedaCare Physicians-Menasha providers now taking appointments online include: Suzanne Bloomhuff, MD; Janine Buffo, MD; Sandra Groenewald, MD; Gunmeet Kaleka, MD; John Spencer, MD; and Lisa Gundersen, NP.
The latest website enhancement is the latest technical initiative rolled out by ThedaCare, which has been honored for the past 11 years as one of the “100 Most Wired” hospitals and health systems by Hospitals & Health Networks magazine, the journal of the American Hospital Association.
Patients at the Menasha clinic with MyThedaCare accounts already in place can access the new online scheduling system. For patients without an account, they can easily set one up by contacting their primary care provider’s office or by calling ThedaCare On Call at (877) 259-6180.
