Support for Loved Ones

Cancer Support for Loved Ones

Support for the Whole Family

Cancer goes beyond the person who is diagnosed. That’s why ThedaCare offers support for caregivers and other loved ones.

Help When You Need It

Learning that your parent or spouse has cancer can be pretty scary. It’s hard not to fear the worst. And while many cancers have strong cure rates when caught early, even the process of watching your loved one go through cancer treatment can be nerve-wracking and draining.

Our cancer therapist, located at the Martha Siekman Cancer Center, can help you cope. Working with families, couples, and kids, our therapist knows about the challenges cancer patients and their caregivers face. From the stresses of providing care at home to the financial burden that can result from lost time away from work, there’s no topic that’s off-limits.

You’ll also get help understanding the emotions the rest of your family may be dealing with, and how to best support each other. Because our therapist is located right in the same building as most cancer treatment, you won’t have to go out of your way to set up a visit.

If you’d like to schedule an appointment for yourself or both you and your loved one, talk with a nurse or doctor.
