Putting Comfort First
New London Birth Center is committed to creating a relaxed, nurturing environment for you and your family. You’ll receive personalized attention from all of your care providers. In addition to your doctor, you’ll be able to request other staff to assist with your labor:
- Birth planners are registered nurses who answer questions throughout your pregnancy. They offer educational materials and help you prepare for labor.
- Doulas are trained and certified to offer comfort and support before, during, and right after labor. They assist you and your birth partner with massage and relaxation techniques.
All of your care during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum will happen in one spacious room. Each room features:
- Soothing decor
- Relaxing whirlpool bathtubs
- Sleeping accommodations for the father or support person
- Convenient kitchenettes
- TV with DVD player
Once your baby arrives, your family will have plenty of space for relaxing and recovering together.
If Your Baby Needs Extra Care
You naturally hope your baby will arrive perfectly healthy. While that’s almost always the case, sometimes newborns need added attention to thrive. If additional specialized services are needed, our partners at Theda Birth Center also provide a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

Showing Off Your Bundle of Joy
You are welcome to invite visitors to the birth center any time, day or night. You’ll also be able to share your baby’s photo through our password-protected online web nursery.
