ThedaCare Physicians-Waupaca and Riverside Medical Center are now open as one integrated health facility. The facility integrates physician offices with ancillary services such as lab and imaging services, creating improved patient access for primary care, outpatient services and hospital-based services. It also features improved provider and patient rooms, including exam and procedure rooms, redesigned staff work stations, lab space, pharmacy and diagnostic imaging, including MRI, radiology and mammography. In addition to 12 family medicine physicians, ThedaCare Physicians-Waupaca also has two general surgeons and eight nurse practitioners/physician assistants on staff to serve patients. There are several specialty physicians to serve the Waupaca area through ThedaCare Physicians-Waupaca and Riverside Medical Center.

A family practitioner in the Waupaca area since 1975, Robert L. Peterson, MD, joined ThedaCare Physicians. He is continuing to see patients in his current office in the 900 Building on the Riverside Medical Center campus.
Dr. Peterson – or “Dr. Bob” as he is called by his patients, also works in the emergency room at Riverside Medical Center . A former chief of staff and director of emergency services at RMC, Dr. Peterson is board certified and committed to providing family-centered continuity of care as well as preventing and treating conditions early to prevent complications.
