The Wolf River Area Healthcare Foundation's mission is to improve the health of area communities by supporting capital projects and educational programming at New London Family Medical Center.
In 2003, individuals and businesses generously responded to our fund-raising effort by donating over $1 million for construction of the New London Birth Center.
The birth center features a home-like environment that helps create a relaxing, comfortable experience for new families. Our dedicated team of professionals help to create a birth plan built around what is important to each family. Thanks in large part to the generosity of our donors, the newly renovated birth center serves 50 percent more families than prior to the upgrade.
All funds raised by the Foundation benefit New London Family Medical Center and its patients. Today, Foundation support will be directed toward a new ambulance for the hospital, as well as educational programming for patients of all ages.
Our philanthropic impact can be felt throughout the communities served by the hospital, including:
· Bear Creek
· Clintonville
· Dale
· Fremont
· Hortonville
· Manawa
· Marion
· Medina
· New London
· Readfield
· Shiocton
· Weyauwega
· Others in Outagamie and Waupaca Counties.
The Foundation's annual dinner and auction event brings together more than 150 people to celebrate a shared investment in the community. Old and new friends are welcome to attend and enjoy an evening where our local auctioneers steal the show ever year!
There are many ways to give to the Foundation including gifts of cash, stocks, bonds or personal property, or a planned gift through your estate. If you are interested in more information about the Foundation or would like to make a gift, contact Louis Clark, executive director, at (920) 531-2221 or louis.clark@thedacare.org.
