ThedaCare is once again sponsoring the ThedaCare Bike & Skating Safety Clinic to promote the rules of road safety and to provide a FREE properly fitted helmet to children in Kindergarten through 4th grade.
On Saturday, May 1, ThedaCare will present the Bike & Skating Safety Clinic in conjunction with the Fox Cities YMCA Healthy Kids Day.
The events promote safety to kids in kindergarten through fourth grade and provides a free, fitted Bell helmet. Kids also receive a free Brandon’s Champions ID tag for their helmet, which helps medical responders identify them if they are hurt during a crash.
Registration is not required to participate in the clinic. The bike clinics offer safety instructions; helmet fitting; maintenance information; and a variety of skills training stations. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and bring their own bicycle, scooters or in-line skates. Skaters or scooter riders must bring protective gear such as wrist guards and kneepads.
