The ThedaStar Communications Center handles all requests for patient transport via ThedaStar Air Medical. This includes requests for inter-facility transports, as well as scene responses.
All arrangements for transport of patients from other facilities to Theda Clark Medical Center and Appleton Medical Center can be made with one call to the ThedaStar Communications Center. For inter-facility transports an accepting physician is required before ThedaStar can depart the sending facility with the patient. However, you may request ThedaStar to respond to your facility prior to obtaining an accepting physician. If the patient is being transferred to Theda Clark or Appleton Medical Center we can assist you in obtaining an accepting physician.
To prevent delays in response when requesting ThedaStar please call ThedaStar Communications directly at 1-800-236-2066 for all transport requests.
When calling please have the following information available.

- Location: Address, GPS coordinates or cross-streets; city/township and county.
- Landing Zone contact information: agency, frequency, description if available
- Type of incident · Patient illness or injury information
- Number of patients, estimated ages and weights
