If you are interested in an educational program or public relations visit with a member of ThedaStar’s flight crew, the helicopter and/or our Hummer H3 vehicle please contact us at 920-729-2114 or via e-mail at thedastar@thedacare.org. We do request you contact us at least 3 weeks in advance of the event or sooner if possible. If you would like the helicopter to attend your educational program or public relations event please review our “Policy for Helicopter Attendance at PR Events.”
We encourage agencies (Hospitals, Fire, EMS & Police) within our primary service area to receive training / updates in “Helicopter Utilization Guidelines”; “Helicopter Safety”; and “Landing Zone Setup and Safety Guidelines” on an annual basis. We also can provide a variety of educational programs to agencies regarding patient assessment and patient care as well as chart reviews. If your agency is hosting a training session with ThedaStar we encourage you to invite surrounding agencies to participate. These presentations are generally a PowerPoint presentation and can be done in conjunction with or without the helicopter attending.
For students and the general public, including community service organizations or other groups we are happy to provide information about Injury Prevention, General information and history of ThedaStar and Air Medical Programs as well as Air Medical Career information. In most cases these presentations are done without the helicopter attending. However, we do utilize the helicopter to participate in mock crash scenarios and occasionally for community events. We also offer our Hummer H3 vehicle to participate in community events, parades, etc. Educational offerings, aircraft attendance at events and the Hummer H3 are all provided at no cost to you.
