What is this medicine used for?

This medicine is used on your skin to treat fungus infections.

How do I use it?

Wash the affected area with mild soap and warm water. Pat dry with a soft towel.

With the fingertips, apply a thin layer of medicine to the affected area and surrounding skin and rub it in gently. Wash your hands afterwards (unless the fungus is on your hands).

Do not bandage the affected area unless your health care provider tells you to do so.

If the infection is in the groin area, wear loose cotton underwear. Keep the area dry.

If the fungus is on your feet, be sure to apply the medicine between your toes, wear white cotton socks and keep your feet dry and ventilated.

Keep this medicine away from your eyes.

If you use talcum or other powders to keep your skin dry, do not apply them at the same time as this medicine.

Use this medicine for as long as your health care provider tells you. Do not miss doses.

What are the possible side effects?

Along with its needed effects, your medicine may cause some unwanted side effects. Some side effects may be very serious. Some side effects may go away as your body adjusts to the medicine. Tell your health care provider if you have any side effects that continue or get worse.

Contact your health care provider if you develop skin irritation, burning, or itching.

What products might interact with this medicine?

No significant drug interactions have been reported.

Keep a list of all your medicines (prescription, nonprescription, supplements, natural remedies, and vitamins) with you. Be sure that you tell all health care providers who treat you about all the products you are taking.
