Press Ganey Ratings

ThedaCare is committed to understanding and improving our patients’ entire healthcare experience. We’ve partnered with Press Ganey, a highly respected national health care assessment firm, to conduct transparent and timely patient surveys that will help guide our continuous improvement efforts. 

  • Surveys are randomly distributed, and healthcare providers receive a ranking and corresponding Press Ganey Seal of Integrity on their ThedaCare profile page after having received a minimum of 50 complete survey responses. 
  • Data points on providers’ online profiles are compiled from the most recent 12-month period. 
  • Comments are posted after a provider has received a minimum of 10. Comments are refreshed monthly to show patient submissions from the most recent 24-month period.

About the Survey

The electronic survey is emailed to ThedaCare Orthopedic Care patients within a few days of their outpatient appointment. Patients take a 20-question survey and provide comments regarding specific aspects of care. ThedaCare Orthopedic Care received approximately 3,500 completed outpatient surveys every year.

ThedaCare is committed to posting positive and negative feedback. However, we do not post comments that are libelous, slanderous, profane, or those that risk the privacy of our patients.

About the Press Ganey Seal of Integrity

Press Ganey Certified

The Press Ganey Seal of Integrity validates the reliability of ThedaCare’s data transparency program and assures providers, physicians and patients that physician performance ratings are scientifically rigorous. To receive the Seal of Integrity, a health care organization must be verified by Press Ganey to have met data standards that reflect the following requirements: 

  • Measures have been tested in national validation studies to ensure reliability, predictive validity, and construct validity 
  • 100% validation of patient responses 
  • Compliance with one standardized star calculation method 
  • Assurance of 30 or more survey returns per provider 
  • Complete reporting of every survey response 
  • Posting of all comments, suppressing or redacting only those containing confidential or libelous information, or with feedback unrelated to the physician or patient experience during the visit
