Obesity and Bariatric Services
If you’ve tried to shed weight through traditional diet and exercise programs but haven’t been successful, bariatric surgery may be an option. The Bariatric Program at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah includes the Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass and Lap-Band procedures. We offer an experienced multidisciplinary approach to weight loss surgery. This includes nutrition experts, exercise classes to help create a personal program for the patient at home, support groups, and trained medical staff. The core medical team, which includes the surgeons of Midwest Bariatric Solutions and the program coordinator, are members of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery (ASBS).

If you or a loved one has suffered a stroke, you’ll find the care you need at the Theda Clark Stroke Center. Theda Clark Stroke Center is certified as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission (TJC). It is the only Certified Primary Stroke Center in Northeast Wisconsin, one of only two in the entire state, and one of only 20 Certified Primary Stroke Centers in the country.
According to TJC, designation as a Primary Stroke Center means that a hospital meets specific criteria for managing and treating stroke, including 24-hour acute stroke teams made up of neurologists, neurointerventionalists and specially trained nurses, an integrated emergency response system, a dedicated stroke unit, neuro-services including imaging and laboratory services, interventional radiology services, written care protocols, and ongoing quality improvement and education programs.
ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah offers specialized care on our Neurology/Neurosurgery unit for patients with seizures, strokes, back and neck injuries, closed head injuries (traumas), brain tumors, and cerebral aneurysms. The nursing staff is trained and focused in the area of Neurology and Neurosurgery with several being certified in the specialty.

A multidisciplinary team, led by a physician specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation, together with the patient and the family, combine efforts to provide compassionate and effective rehabilitative care.
da Vinci Surgical System
The robotic-assisted da Vinci System helps doctors make precise movements with extraordinary control and range of motion. This means less pain, shorter hospital stays and a quicker recovery for patients. Several physicians are using the da Vinci Systems at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah for a variety of procedures.
Trauma Center and ThedaStar
ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah is home to the area’s only Level II Trauma Center. The Trauma Center at ThedaCare Medical Center-Neenah provides 24-hour coverage by board-certified emergency medical physicians and specialists. The Trauma Services staff includes a board-certified Trauma Director, Trauma Coordinator, Injury Prevention Coordinator and Trauma Registrar. The clinical staff that cares for trauma patients receives specialized training to provide optimal care. Specialized pre-hospital rapid transport services are available through ThedaStar Air Medical.
