ThedaCare Dietitian to Share Tips on Healthy Food Shopping
Riverside Medical Center (RMC) will host a free grocery store scavenger hunt at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 15, to teach consumers how to make healthy choices.
ThedaCare registered dietitian Anne Menzies will host the class, which will be held at Pick ‘n Save, 955 W. Fulton St., Waupaca. Space is limited and registration is required. Call (715) 258-1119 to reserve a spot.
The class, offered by RMC’s Health and Wellness Department in conjunction with the Waupaca Eating Smart coalition, will include a scavenger hunt for healthy grocery items, followed by a taste test of a delicious Waupaca Eating Smart recipe.
“It’s going to be fun and interactive with an emphasis on how to make healthy carbohydrate choices,” said Menzies.
Riverside Medical Center is a 25-bed acute-care, critical access hospital located in Waupaca.
