Internal Medicine Physician Makes House Calls at Area Nursing Homes
Ronald Schreiber, MD, CMD, has joined ThedaCare Physicians-Senior Care Specialists as a provider of primary medical care to patients at nursing homes in the Fox Cities.
Dr. Schreiber was previously with ThedaCare Physicians-Waupaca where he was an internal medical physician.
Dr. Schreiber received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Gannon University in Erie, Pa., and his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his residency and fellowship in geriatrics at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. In addition to being a board-certified internal medicine physician, he is also a Certified Medical Director.
ThedaCare Physicians-Senior Care Specialists is designed to improve the quality and consistency of medical care in nursing homes by providing physicians who make onsite patient visits and can answer questions from staff members and improve continuity of care by recording all medical information from the skilled nursing home in an electronic medical record so it’s available to other providers at ThedaCare clinics and hospitals.
A member of the the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Wisconsin Chapter’s Professional Advisory Committee since 1993, Dr. Schreiber believes in creating a strong, working relationship with patients especially when faced with complex issues and decisions. Before joining ThedaCare Physicians-Waupaca, he worked for more than 17 years as an internal medicine physician and a nursing home medical director in the Fox Cities.
