Behavioral Health Employees will use Knowledge to Improve Suicide Prevention
ThedaCare received a 2014 Perfect Depression Care Learning Community grant from the State of Wisconsin.
ThedaCare Behavioral Health will use the grant money, which is provided by Wisconsin’s Division of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, to send two employees to a workshop at Henry Ford Health Systems in Detroit to learn more about their “Perfect Depression Care” initiative. That program set a new standard for depression care that aims to eliminate suicides among patients. ThedaCare Behavioral Health employees will take what they learn and develop a suicide prevention program in local communities.
ThedaCare was just one of five programs in Wisconsin – and the only one in the Fox Valley – to receive the grant.
