AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY 32nd ANNUAL SOLE BURNER WALK/RUN
The American Cancer Society is preparing for its 32nd Annual Sole Burner Walk/Run in the Fox Cities area. The 2013 event attracted over 8,200 participants and raised more than $381,000! As the flagship sponsor, the ThedaCare team had over 600 participants in 2013.
We hope our 2014 event will have a record number of participants and survivors. ThedaCare will be the flagship sponsor again in 2014. The American Cancer Society Sole Burner Walk/Run is an awareness event for everyone including cancer patients, cancer survivors, their family and friends and the public to celebrate the reality that cancer can be fought and survived. It provides an opportunity for everyone who has been impacted by cancer to come together in a warm, positive, upbeat atmosphere. It is also a unique means of promoting products and community goodwill while raising funds to support the American Cancer Society’s programs of research, education, advocacy and patient services.
Money raised from this event will help to provide services in the Fox Cities area including:
Reach to Recovery, Look Good...Feel Better, the Navigator Program, Hozhoni Weekend camp for children with cancer, Youth Scholarship program, 1-800-ACS-2345 toll-free number and www.cancer.org.
