The ACA encourages hospitals and health systems to use technology to connect with patients and deliver better care. At ThedaCare, we already do that! We were early adopters of key technologies like electronic medical records (sometimes called electronic health records), and we’ve been named to Hospital and Health Networks’ “Most Wired” 12 years in a row. Just like a smart phone connects you to your everyday life, technology connects you to your healthcare. No matter where you live in the region, if you’re a ThedaCare patient you can find resources at ThedaCare.org, MyThedaCare.org, or call us at ThedaCareOnCall , at (800) 236-2236.
Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Electronic medical records (EMR) connect all our locations. We use EMR to track your medical history, share notes from our conversations, and review lab results and diagnostic images. This helps us and you, because it allows for coordinated care wherever you go in our network. If you see a specialist doctor, like a gastroenterologist, or go to the Tribal Clinic in Shawano, your records are there! Plus, our EMR system sets the bar. It’s secure and easy to use — think smartphone instead of late 90s flip phone.
The resources you need to navigate your care, find a doctor, get clinic and hospital locations, learn about our community health classes and research information on health conditions are available in one location at ThedaCare.org. Why use generic sites when what you need is available from your trusted local provider? Plus, take us with you on your smartphone or mobile device wherever you go.
Need a friend?
Through social media, we not only keep you connected with your care teams, but also with neighbors or friends who share your health condition or life situation. Our main Facebook page at facebook.com/ThedaCare includes basic information and happenings, while our pages from Ortho Plus, ThedaCare Pediatrics, ThedaCare At Home and more offer specific support and resources. If Tweeting is more your style, you can find us at @ThedaCareHealth.
